Zur Analyse wurde für die Persistenz die „Gesamtaufenthaltszeit“ und für den Ferntransport die „Charakteristische Transportdistanz (CTD)“ eingeführt, die beide den multimedialen Transport und Abbau berücksichtigen. This edition publishs potential for long-range transport and persistence for the evaluation and regulation of plant protection products and industrial chemicals in international agreements and within the European legislation. The inclusion of these criteria was proposed in order to achieve a sustainable and precautionary use of chemicals of environmental relevance.
